SEDONA RACQUET CLUB

Membership Rules and Regulations

 

 

1)       Members and their guests shall fully comply with all of these Rules and Regulations.

2)       Club members and guests who have complied with the fee schedule noted herein may use the club.  Sedona Racquet Club Properties reserves the right of control on status on all persons entering the Club. 

3)       Children 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by a member or an approved family adult (18 years and older) at all times unless they are under the supervision of SEDONA RACQUET CLUB PROPERTIES staff at a SEDONA RACQUET CLUB activity, i.e; lessons or clinic.

4)       Members and guests shall conduct themselves in a manner that will not cause discomfort or interfere with the rights and interests of other members or guests or with duties and responsibilities of the Staff.

5)       SRCP has the right to terminate and/or suspend any use of club upon giving no less than 30 days written notice to the members if such action occurs.

Cause(s) for termination include but are not limited to the following:

                *Member’s non-compliance with all rules and regulations.

                *Conduct that causes discomfort or interferes with the rights or interests

                   of other members within the club or with the duties and responsibilities of the Staff.

                *Payment delinquencies as defined herein.

                *Destruction of club property.

6)       In the event of termination, SRCP agrees to refund pre-paid dues, if any which may have been paid by such members, but SRCP is not obligated to repay any of the portion of the initiation fee.

7)       The SRCP shall not be obligated to refund any dues or initiation fee in case of gross misconduct, sale or transfer of ownership of the SEDONA RACQUET CLUB PROPERTIES, substantial destruction of facilities, eminent domain proceedings, inability to operate profitably, act of God, or other reasons.

8)       If a member wishes to terminate his/her membership, he/she must do so in writing.  This written note must be received 30 days in advance.  In case of voluntary termination of membership, refunds of dues or initiation fee will not be applicable.  All membership cards must be returned to the Club and all outstanding debts must be paid. 

9)       Membership shall remain in its original status (Single, Couple, Family, Junior and Nonresident) unless SRCP is notified of any changes in writing, addressed to the Manager.  One change per 12-month period will be allowed.  An administration fee of $25.00 will be charged for any downgrade in membership.  The difference in the initiation fee must be paid for upgrades.

10)    A family is defined as a husband, wife and children.  Children must be under 23 years of age and living at home.  A couple is defined as a married or unmarried man or woman living in the same household.  Also a couple is defined as a mother-daughter, father-son where the sibling must be under the age of 23 and living in the same household.  A junior is defined as a teen, a boy or a girl under the age of 18 and must be in high school and living at home.

11)    Non-resident memberships are available in all categories of membership.  The membership is at a reduced annual rate below the resident rate and must be paid for each month of the year.  Non-Resident memberships are available only for members who have their primary residence outside a 100-mile radius from the club.  Flagstaff residents only are excluded from the mileage limitation.  Primary residence is defined as the residence you occupy for six months or more per year and is your federal taxpaying residence.

12)    In the event of death, the deceased’s membership is automatically canceled and does not pass to personal representative, legal heirs or successors.

13)    In the event of dissolution of marriage or legal separation, both spouses may continue membership (with no additional fee) at the then applicable membership rates.

14)    Membership cards will be issued to members and their children, age 12 and above.  Everyone entering SEDONA RACQUET CLUB PROPERTIES is required to present his or her membership cards.

15)    Monthly dues are billed one month in advance on the second day of the month.  Statements are mailed by the 5th of the month.  Payment must be received within 45 days of the monthly statement.  Memberships, which have delinquent payments, will be suspended and subject to termination. 

16)    Facilities include Steam Rooms, Whirlpool, 20-yard lap pool, 8 lighted tennis courts, locker rooms, Pro-shop, fully equipped Fitness Center and Aerobic Room, Bar and food services. 

17)    Inflatable and Floats not permitted in the Pool.  A lifeguard may be on duty the summer months (June-August) only.  No lifeguard is on duty other times.  All members are required to take a soap shower before entering the swimming pool.  No shouting, running or horseplay is allowed in the pool area or adjoining areas.

18)    Swimming lessons are available by certified water safety instructors during the swimming season.  Tennis, personal training, massage and facials are available by trained professionals.  Individual fees are applicable for these services.

19)    No child of the opposite sex, three years and over is allowed in locker rooms.  The club provides separate children’s showers and restrooms.

20)    All tennis players must reserve courts at the front desk before playing.  Proper tennis footwear and attire must be worn.  One reservation per adult.  No-show without cancellation may result in a fee penalty established by the SRCP. 

21)    The SRCP is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced articles anywhere on the club premises.

22)    Smoking is not permitted indoors or outdoors of the club area.

23)    Shirts and shoes are required in the public areas other than the pool in the public areas other than the pool.

24)    The SRCP reserves the right to close on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day or other holidays.  The management also reserves the right to close the club for repairs or emergencies or to limit the hours of use for special events.

25)    Any dispute between SRCP and a member shall be subject to mandatory arbitration pursuant to the Arizona Uniform Arbitration Act before a single hearing, and there shall be no right to discovery.  This provision shall not be applicable to any claim of member that is covered by the club liability insurance. 

26)    Guest Fees will be charged to all non-members of the club based upon the current Schedule of Guest published by the club. 

27)    All memberships are annual.

28)    No freezes of memberships are allowed except for medical reasons and SEDONA RACQUET CLUB PROPERTIES management must approve these 30 days prior to taking effect.

29)    Members who have single or couples memberships and want their children to take tennis lessons or clinics must pay non-member rates.  The only exception to this is where members are paired with siblings for the couple rate.
